This role requires weekend, holiday, and morning availability. This is a part-time position with variable hours based on availability and business needs. Flexibility with scheduling is essential to meet the needs of our hotel operations.
JOB SUMMARY
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and assigned public areas to hotel brand standards. This role supports an exceptional guest experience by ensuring rooms are clean, well-stocked, and guest-ready, while following safety procedures, proper chemical use, and establishing cleaning protocols.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Clean guest rooms and bathrooms according to established standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
Refresh and restock guest room amenities and supplies (e.g., towels, toiletries, tissue, coffee, and other items as applicable).
Change linens; replace towels; properly collect and remove soiled linen and trash from guest rooms.
Inspect assigned rooms for cleanliness, maintenance concerns, and missing/damaged items; report issues promptly to the appropriate department.
Ensure rooms are set up consistently and meet quality expectations before marking rooms as clean/ready.
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and as directed, following all label instructions and PPE requirements.
Maintain assigned housekeeping cart, supply levels, and storage areas in a clean, organized manner.
Respond courteously and promptly to guest requests (e.g., additional towels, toiletries) and communicate with the front desk or supervisors as needed.
Follow lost-and-found procedures; secure and report found items immediately according to policy.
Follow all hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures; report hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly to management.

Frequent standing and walking for extended periods throughout an 8-hour shift; may include walking long distances between guest rooms and service areas.
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching (including overhead), and twisting while cleaning guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas.
Frequent pushing/pulling and maneuvering of housekeeping carts, vacuums, and other equipment in corridors, elevators, and occasionally on ramps or uneven surfaces.
Frequent repetitive use of hands/arms for wiping, scrubbing, vacuuming, making beds, lifting mattresses, and carrying items; requires hand/eye coordination and grip strength.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 30 lbs frequently (e.g., linens, trash bags, cleaning supplies) and up to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance or equipment as needed.
Work is performed in guest rooms, corridors, stairwells, and public areas with exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, odors, and bodily fluids/trash; may require use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Environment may include wet/slippery surfaces, moving carts in tight spaces, varying temperatures/humidity, and moderate noise levels typical of hotel operations; work pace may be fast to meet room turn times.
